Hi I’m Tony Richardson – The Tidy Painter.
I ONLY paint domestic interiors, so I've gotten pretty good at it over the years. And because a lot of Cremorne homes are historical or heritage I've become something of an expert at dealing with the intricacies and quirks of older houses. I've painted everything from Federation, Edwardian, Art Deco, Californian Bungalow, Post War right up to very modern new builds.
I've just finished painting a big 4 bedroom house on Young st, Cremorne. It was an older building that had been modernised, so I had to deal with the old and the new. Some parts were a bit dark and others were very bright and new. It was a pretty dated yellowy-cream colour with lots of kid-damage. We went with Dulux 'Lexicon Quarter' walls and fresh vivid white doors, skirting and ceilings. The clients were very happy with their 'new' home.
The clients also opted for a LOW ODOUR option. This system of paints and primers means that while I painted my way through the house, the intrusion was even less. They could hardly smell anything.
There were also a lot of cracks and damage caused by years of wear by active kids with sticky hands. And dont even get me started about removing teenagers tape and bluetac on every wall and door!
And another thing that these Cremorne clients liked was that I'M LOCAL!
I mainly paint in the lower north shore area of Sydney - Crows Nest, Cammeray, Mosman, Cremorne etc. This just works out better for everyone. (I just checked on Google and it says I'm an 8 minute drive from my home to 5 Loaves 2 Fish cafe in Cremorne. )
